Support the Future of Music Education in Brownsburg
Brownsburg Band and Orchestra Parents (BBOP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, volunteer-run organization that proudly supports the Brownsburg Band, Guard, and Orchestra programs. Through fundraising, event planning, transportation, and behind-the-scenes logistics, BBOP helps power the incredible experiences that define our award-winning programs.
Each year, we support hundreds of student-performers across dozens of events—from competitions to concerts to community showcases. But the reality is this: student participation fees only cover about 60% of what it takes to operate these nationally recognized programs.
Your sponsorship helps fill that gap.
Program expenses include:
-
Uniforms and equipment
-
Truck rentals and trailer maintenance
-
Instruments and prop construction
-
Sound systems and technology
-
Repairs, replacements, and upgrades
-
Scholarships for students in financial need
We proudly award over $20,000 in scholarships annually to ensure that cost never prevents a student from participating in something they love.
More than 1,300 middle and high school students—nearly 1 in 5—are involved in Brownsburg music programs. By becoming a sponsor, you’re not just supporting a band or an orchestra; you’re investing in opportunity, education, and the future of our youth.
Join us in making sure every student has the chance to perform, grow, and belong. Your support helps keep music alive in Brownsburg.

Benefits of Music Education
Music education has an enormous impact on a student’s development and learning. It makes students smarter and stimulates their brains, requiring them to simultaneously listen for the beat, read along with sheet music, and coordinate their movements to play the instrument or dance with the rhythm.
Music sparks a student’s creativity, which encourages their vivid imagination – a good thing for our youth.
Besides becoming more imaginative, students in music education develop:
- An improvement in their vocabulary and language
- More self-confidence
- More self-discipline
- Increased motor skills
- Improved listening skills
- Enhanced social skills
2026 Rose Parade
The Sound of Brownsburg Marching Band is honored to represent the state of Indiana in the 2026 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity places our students on one of the most visible stages in the world, performing for millions in person and through a global television broadcast.
Our nationally recognized band was selected for its excellence in performance, student leadership, and community support. We’re incredibly proud of this achievement—but getting there requires major financial support.
It’s 2,065 miles from Brownsburg to Pasadena—and every mile costs money. Transporting equipment, instruments, uniforms, and props across the country is a major undertaking. Add in airfare, hotel, meals, and event logistics for over 200 students and staff, and the total cost becomes significant.
But it’s not just about transportation. We also need to provide scholarship support to students who cannot afford their individual trip costs. We are committed to making sure every student has the chance to participate in this extraordinary event, regardless of financial need.
We hope you join us in investing in the future of our youth by partnering with Brownsburg Bands.
